Elysée Moon alias Grégoire Ichou

Elysée Moon, drag queen, Grégoire Ichou's alter ego

Grégoire Ichou, tenor and drag queen Passionate about music as much as history, visual arts, and gender issues, Grégoire Ichou is at once an opera singer, tour guide, and drag queen.

He studied opera singing at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris and in master classes throughout Europe (he has lived in Edinburgh, Valencia, Florence, and Vienna), as well as musicology at Paris-Sorbonne University.

After earning his Master's in Art History at Panthéon Sorbonne University, he completed his training by obtaining the postgraduate diploma from the École du Louvre.

He now gives "sung tours" of museums and monuments in collaboration with numerous institutions: Opéra Comique, Louvre, Philharmonie de Paris, Théâtre de la Monnaie (Brussels), Panthéon, Musée de Cluny, Petit Palais, Musée d’Art et d’Histoire du Judaïsme, Théâtre du Châtelet, Basilique Saint-Denis…

Her drag practice, through her character Élysée Moon, began two years ago.

It allows her to bring together her interests in musical performance and visual arts while freely exploring three main axes: the boundaries between genders, between "legitimate," "popular," and "subcultures," as well as between fiction and reality.
